The Verum No. 92 Shoulder Plane is a precision joinery plane built for trimming shoulders, refining rebates, and perfecting cabinetmaking details. Its balanced body sits securely in the palm or comfortably in two hands, making it equally at home for light trimming or more demanding detail work.
The precision-ground CR40 body has softened edges where the hand rests, crisp 90° corners for accuracy, and polished detailing to make use both functional and enjoyable. The full-width T10 blade, bedded at 15°, takes clean, controlled cuts with or across the grain. The adjustable mouth allows you to close up tight for fine finishing or open for heavier cuts without tear-out.
Designed with Peter Sefton
Each Verum plane is the result of collaboration with Wood Workers Workshop’s owner, Peter Sefton — a master craftsman and woodworking educator. His influence is seen in the ergonomics, blade geometry, and finishing details, producing a shoulder plane that is both accurate and a pleasure to use.
