Oak, oak, oak: whether as a floorboard, wall paneling, wooden step or table with a matching bench. Oak wood is so popular that many processors also like to trim it to look old. For this purpose, untreated oak wood is pre-treated with the reactive stain Antique and then shows an aged effect.
This ecological and VOC-free water-based reactive stain penetrates deep into the wood, reacts immediately with the oak's tannic acid and gives the surface a characterful aging and graying effect. This makes OLI-NATURA Antique not only an environmentally friendly, but also a very simple and quick alternative to conventional smoking and lye.
The reactive stain is available in three different color intensities: “lyeed” , “smoked” or “black smoked” . Depending on the color, the amount of stain used and the acidity of the oak, the wood changes weaker or stronger.
Especially the combination “antique-leached” with “Color Oil Sand Stone« gives the oak a patinated note. The duo “Antique-smoked” with “Worktop Oil« looks like old wood and »antique black smoked« with »Color Oil Midnight Black« brings a dramatic black to the wood.
The VOC-free reactive stain can be processed manually and industrially. It is simply applied with a brush, roller, spray gun or roller machine. After drying, smoothing and post-treatment with OLI-NATURA oils and waxes follow. The user can choose between colorless and colored oils, so there are many combinations to choose from.
