Linseed oil varnish is “New Old School” - an almost forgotten ecological paint that is traditionally used for almost all wooden surfaces and building elements - inside and out. In 2015, Ole & Wachse revived the accidentally rediscovered recipe, refined it and had it LFGB certified.

Today, for many manufacturers and wood lovers, this "green coat" is the most original and beautiful way to naturally protect wooden bowls, cutting boards, knife handles, toys, bird and bee houses or windows and doors. Anyone who uses organic and vegan surface protection wants a coating that is harmless to humans and animals and does not harm nature.

Ole & Wachse linseed oil varnish is made in a gentle cooking process exclusively from pure, cold-pressed linseed oil. For faster drying, they only add traces (0.4%) of a modern manganese dryer, which of course contains no lead or cobalt. What's more, their linseed oil varnish is LFGB certified (food safe) and is therefore safe for use on children's toys and wooden surfaces that come into contact with food.

After application, the linseed oil varnish forms a permanent bond with the wood and creates a water-repellent varnish layer on the surface. The application is also simple: simply apply it generously with a cotton cloth or brush, leave it to take effect briefly and remove the wet excess. After drying thoroughly, this process can be repeated several times. Two to three coats are usually enough
.

The wood appears revitalized and the natural color is robustly intensified. Light woods take on a warm honey tone.
